Goal for Understanding: Students will show whether or not they have a grasp on the material that was covered inside and outside
of class based on the homework assignments. Prepare the students for their test.
Instructional Objective: The students will
demonstrate the knowledge they have acquired through a game. Eliminate students’ questions before the test.

The five questions students created for the game the night before for homework. Questions should
cover the five tales and five characters we discussed in class. |

Teaching to the Objective
Introduction/Motivation/
Prior Knowledge:
Begin by telling the students that they will be playing a game and explain the procedures and
rules.
Developmental Activities:
The students will be broken up into two teams. The desks are in rows, depending on where the
student sits will tell when the student takes his/ her turn.
I will be reading the students their own questions. The first team that writes the correct
answer on the board will get a point.
The team that wins will get a bonus on their test.
Assessment: How many students answered correctly?
How close were their answers?
Closure:
Call the end to the game and tally the points.
After announcing the winner, answer any questions that the students may have.
Encourage students to ask questions by reminding them that this is the last day they can ask
questions about the test. |
Differentiation
I will pass out a written copy of the rules for the visual learners.
I will also write the questions on the board.
All students will have the option of staying after school for help with any questions he/she
may have about the test material. |
